how to order your own custom instrument build

Each instrument is individually handcrafted and allows you multiple options to choose from. I am happy to consult with you and walk you through everything.

I also try to keep a variety of completed instruments on the instruments for sale page that are available immediately. Below are the details for commissioning a new build.

model 17 or 20 process

  1. Models 17 and 20 come standard with a solid maple neck and rim.

  2. Choose fingerboard wood. (ebony, maple or rosewood fingerboards with a figured maple peghead overlay).

  3. Select fret position marker type (side, front dots or both).

  4. Choose string type setup (traditional nylon or fluorocarbon ukulele strings or our own custom steel set).

  5. Email me your selections here or in the Let's work together section below.

  6. Next a $360 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot in the build queue and lock in the current pricing.

Depending on the current build schedule I will give you a timeframe for completion of your instrument. Custom builds are always a priority and usually can be completed within a few weeks of finalizing the details.

Upon completion, the remaining balance is due.

After funds are received, non-local pickup orders will be shipped.

As these are completely customized to your preferences, the variety of options are endless.

  1. It starts with a phone call, text or email to discuss your ideas. We can collaborate during this process and spend some time realizing your vision.

  2. Once we have everything sorted out, I will put together a build sheet outlining your options and give you a price including a deposit amount and a prospective timeline.

  3. When you are ready, submit your deposit and lock in the price quoted and timeframe.

Upon completion, the remaining balance is due.

After funds are received, non-local pickup orders will be shipped.
